LaserWriter IIx information...

Presuming you're referring to the LaserWriter II NTX, you can find some information at the end of the manual, which you can download here:

Look for the section titled "Parameters for the LaserWriter IIntx". Perhaps that will help.

Each of those printers based on the LaserWriter II marking engine is a unique individual model, as specified by its controller board. The Developer Notes that outline Hardware and Software features include several models, but none of the LaserWriter II models:

The motherboards are different as has been mentioned already but under the skin the LaserWriter II's all used HP LaserJet III guts such as toner cartridges and fusers..... they also suffered from the same rubber roller issues.....

If you could run Classic, you could run the Apple LaserWriter Utility still available for download from the older software downloads area. There is also a Windoze version available.
